Attila Richard Lukacs

October 6, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Presented by the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art Queer Art Lecture Series

The Leslie Lohman Queer Art Lecture Series is dedicated to queer art and artists. The series showcases the most significant contemporary queer artists with an emphasis on exploring the relationship between their sexuality and their art.

Lukacs will feature new works from the last decade, seen here for the first time in the US. Dubbed Canada’s “official bad boy” by the Village Voice, Lukacs’ meteoric rise and fall was documented in the 2004 film Drawing Out the Demons: A Film About the Artist Attila Richard Lukacs. His work is held in numerous private and public collections.
