Programming

The UB Humanities Institute organizes and sponsors a variety of programs throughout the academic year.

  • Scholars @ Hallwalls
    These monthly presentations feature one HI Faculty Fellow’s research in an engaging lecture with lively follow-up conversation. Talks are held on Friday afternoons (4 pm) at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center and are free and open to the public. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres are served.   • Research Workshops
    For 2018-19, the Humanities Institute has awarded funding to ten research workshop groups. Click the link above for full descriptions and information about Research Workshop events.
  • New Faculty Seminar Series
    The 2018-2019 New Faculty Seminar Series features seven new scholars in the humanities to the University at Buffalo. These brown bag lunch sessions are free and open to the public.
