Programming

The UB Humanities Institute organizes and sponsors a variety of programs throughout the academic year.

  • Scholars @ Hallwalls
    These ~monthly presentations feature one HI Faculty Fellow’s research in an engaging lecture with lively follow-up conversation. Talks are held traditionally held on Friday afternoons (4 pm) at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, and are free and open to the public.
  • Research Workshops
    For 2019-20, the Humanities Institute has awarded funding to eight research workshop groups. Click the link above for full descriptions and information about Research Workshop events.
  • New Faculty Seminar Series
    The 2019-20 New Faculty Seminar Series features new scholars in the humanities to the University at Buffalo. These brown bag lunch sessions are free and open to the public.
