Asia Research Institute: Korean Studies Symposium, “Genre, Gender and Language in Korean Film and Drama” (April 11, 13-15)

The Asia Research Institute is hosting it’s first annual Korean Studies Symposium, Genre, Gender and Language in Korean Film and Drama. Symposium events will take place April 11 (via Zoom), April 13 (at Squeaky Wheel), and April 14-15 (Capen Hall).

Molly Hyo Kim is Adjunct Professor of the College of Humanities at Hanyang University. She has published her works in Acta Koreana, the Journal of Cultural Studies, and the International Journal of Korean History. Discussion moderated by Ekrem Serdar, curator at Squeaky Wheel, and Margaret Rhee, assistant professor of Media Study at UB and the New School.

The event is hosted by Squeaky Wheel, and will take place at Journey’s End Refugees Services
